Situation
South Lodge is situated on the edge of a small development of properties on the eastern periphery of Everton village. The village Post Office and Stores are situated approximately one third of a mile north west. The village of Milford on Sea, with its coastline and bathing beaches, lies approximately 1½ miles south. The Georgian market town of Lymington is just over 2 miles east. New Milton (about 4 miles west) has a mainline rail connection to London/Waterloo and there is also a branchline from Lymington to Brockenhurst (about 6 miles north) where there is a mainline rail connection to London/Waterloo which takes approximately 90 minutes.
Description
The property, located down a long driveway, is south facing to the rear and backs onto its own paddock. We believe that the property was built in the 1950's of rendered brickwork under a clay tiled roof and part flat roof to the eastern elevation. The accommodation benefits from gas fired central heating with some double glazing. Over the years, the property has been extended to the eastern elevation with additional bedrooms, and has an interesting internal layout with the sitting room at a slightly lower level than the dining room and reception hall. There is a fitted kitchen which is in need of updating, as well as a family bathroom and three bedrooms. The dining room has doors through to a family room, and there is a study recess.
South Lodge has the potential, subject to necessary planning permission, to be enlarged to a substantial 5 bedroom property. South Lodge is surrounded by its own private gardens with an orchard area and useful paddock, the whole extending to approximately 2.25 acres (Promap measurement).
