About this office

With expertise gained over the past 35 years John D Wood & Co.'s office has been instrumental in successfully bringing buyers and sellers together. Crucially, it offers an unparalleled knowledge base and together with a personal touch, that has resulted in clients returning to us time and time again.

Richmond upon Thames is one of London's greenest London boroughs and, whilst having access to both underground and national rail lines, one could be forgiven for thinking that you are in the country. King Henry VIII used Richmond as hunting grounds during the sixteenth century, and during this time it was also the site of Richmond Palace.

Nowadays, Richmond Park, together with Kew Gardens, Bushy Park and Hampton Court, make up the largest Royal Park in London, covering an area of 2,500 acres. It's perfect for our nature-loving local residents, including the one-and-only David Attenborough! The town is rich in history and character, with the river Thames winding through the area famously depicted by J. M. W. Turner. Locals are able to enjoy countless activities in their downtime, such as watching a performance at Richmond Theatre; visiting the historic house and grounds of Ham House; running, cycling and rowing in Richmond Park or along the Thames; visiting Duck Pond Market on Sundays, and relaxing at one of the great pubs along the river.

With a large choice of both private and state schools, Richmond is an ideal location for families to settle. Top schools include Marshgate Primary School, The Vineyard School, Deutsche Schule London, King's House School and St. Elizabeth's Catholic Primary School. Commuters can easily access The City and other areas of Greater London from Richmond via the Underground (District line), the Overground, buses, Silverlink, the A136 as well South West Trains services.

With an enviable reputation for having something for everyone, Richmond borough is ideally located for both easy access to the capital, Heathrow airport and the motorway system. Picturesque Richmond, together with John D Wood & Co., make for the perfect partnership.
