About this office

John D Wood & Co. Earl's Court estate agents are located in a prime location on Earl’s Court Road with an array of local shops, cafes and restaurants, all popular with local residents. A full residential sales and lettings list is available from the office covering Earl's Court, South Kensington, Gloucester Road and Chelsea. Earl's Court property over recent years has gained a reputation for understated sophistication, value for money and appeals to many young professionals as well as families who are drawn to the area due to the great schools, many of which cater to students from abroad, adding to the hip cosmopolitan atmosphere.

The area is ideal for commuters with an abundance of public transport available, including extensive bus routes and the facilities of Earl's Court Underground with its access to Central London and the west via the District and Piccadilly lines.

Earl's Court is renowned for its prestigious garden squares such as Nevern Square, Earl’s Court Square and Bramham Gardens which regularly hold summer parties, film nights and other events for all the residents to enjoy. Coleherne Court is also central to the area with its beautiful private gardens enjoyed by the residents of this prestigious block, once the home of the late Princess Diana who owned an apartment in the building prior to her marriage to Prince Charles.

There are a wide variety of excellent schools in the area, in particular the Lycee Francais, Bousfield School and Redcliffe School as well as a wide selection of nurseries.

The new Earl's Court project based on the creation of “Four Urban Villages and a High Street” is now fully under construction and many predict that this will bring considerable benefits to the local area creating 7,500 new homes and 7.5 acres of green space that will include the Lost River Park, which will weave through the heart of the scheme, as well as elegant restaurants and cafes catering to residents and visitors.

The heritage of Earl's Court however still remains with a vibrant music and creative scene. The famous local insinuation, The Troubadour, comes alive on the weekends with live bands and continues to be a furnace of creativity. Over the years famous musicians such as Bob Dylan, Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin and more recently Adele and Ed Sheeran, have all played here. It’s really not to be missed.
